Business Casual Jeans for Women

Jean collage

I know a lot of offices have relaxed their dress code and now allow jeans. I feel the business casual jeans for women you wear to work can be different than the jeans you are wearing on the weekends to run errands. Some important things I look for in women’s business casual jeans is that they are comfortable enough to sit in for hours (preferably stretchy and/or relaxed), have minimal to no fading or distressing, and have a medium to dark wash (there are exceptions here). We want to look polished while being comfy. I find this can be harder than what it seems. Here are some of my tried and true top picks.

All of these specific jeans run TTS for me. I have curvy hips and thighs and a smallish waist for reference.

Favorite High-End Office Jeans

Mother Denim makes some of the most comfortable jeans I have ever put on my body. Their super stretchy fabric is my absolute favorite stretch jean material. They mold to your body perfectly, do not stretch out and get baggy, and do not ride up your crotch when you sit down (This is one of the most important qualities in an office jean). They almost feel like pajamas. I also have enjoyed wearing these jeans while traveling.

Favorite Wide Leg Jeans for the Office

The Reformation Cary jeans get more compliments in the office than any other pair of denim I own. They give that effortless wide leg look while still looking polished for a professional setting. I will say, I have tried other denim styles from Reformation and they do not fit my hips and thighs at all as a curvy-ish girl. This relaxed leg style fits me like a glove, if anything a little on the long side. Might I also mention, the comfort level is high. I am wearing them as I write this post 🙂

Favorite Overall Brand for Office Jeans

Madewell denim has never let me down. They have great washes and styles that can be dressed up or down and their denim is typically soft and comfortable whether it is a stretch or non-stretch jean. I have never had any sizing issues with Madewell denim. If anything they run a little big. I am absolutely loving the white wide leg jean, you can also get away with wearing them with traditional business casual attire (non-jeans).

Best Low Cost Office Jeans

These are not super cheap but I consider under $100 for quality denim a good price. For a curvier girl the ribcage fit is fantastic and TTS. I love the long and cropped version. These come in awesome washes and you can typically find them for a good price since they are sold at many different retailers. I find Amazon typically has the best sales.

Honorable Mention Office Jeans

I was in a big binge shopping mood one day and ended up buying these horseshoe jeans even though I has previously told myself I would not jump on the horseshoe jean trend. Well friends, these are my comfiest jeans hands down. They run a little big but I took my normal size, they are a littler heavier and non-stretch, but they feel like sweatpants somehow. I also feel like a super cool girl when wearing them and the wash is perfect. Highly recommend.
