The 10 Products That Keep Me Looking Put-Together All Day

Work days are very long. You are probably waking up before the sun comes up and are possibly out at happy hour until the sun goes down. It can be difficult to stay put together all day. Your hair and skin might get greasy, your blush might fade, eyelashes might flake, frizzy hair, to name a few struggles of trying to look polished all day. I like we’ve all looked in the mirror at 3 p.m. and had a bit of a jump scare, I know I have. So over my years of being a corporate girl I have tried numerous products in search of finding the longest lasting, fool proof products to staying put together all day during the 9-5 and beyond.

Makeup That Lasts All Day

Setting Spray

I believe every’s skin requires a different type of prep and foundation, but one thing I think everyone needs is a good setting spray. A good setting spray will keep your makeup from transferring, smudging, and fading. I have tried so many setting sprays and always come back to this one. It has the finest mist, your blush and bronzer will not fade, and your foundation will not transfer online your white collared shirt (so embarrassing). Just give it a try.

Waterproof Mascara

I have very long and straight lashes. They do not hold a curl either. But this mascara changes everything. It is waterproof but does not smudge or flake and most important it holds a perfect curl until I remove it. Plus, its so cheap!

Pink Concealer

I was very suspious of this concealer for a while, but once I tried it I hardly reach for anything else. This pink concealer makes you look like you’ve slept 8+ hours every night for years. A little goes a long way and the best part is it doesn’t crease, cake, or look like anything besides perfect skin. A must, if you suffer from dark under-eyes.

Water Based Lip Stain

A lot of lip stains end up looking terrible after a few hours, or the color is just too much. The idea of a lip stain for a long day at work sounds good, but risky if it gets patchy or makes you look a little too glam on a light makeup day. This lip stain is not any of those things, it is hydrating, light, water based and wears beautifully. It will not last a full day but it will give your lips a pretty tint for a few hours. I have this in a few colors, but this color is so good for everyday at the office.

Hair Products That Work Overtime

Hair Oil for Frizz Control

If you live in a humid place, or just have chronic dry hair you need a good hair oil. I love this hair oil because it also works as a heat protectant. It helps keep my hair moisturized so the moisture in the air does not get absorbed inot my hair and become a frizzy mess.

Slick Back Stick

Every corporate girl knows the slick back pony, it is a staple hair style for those days you can’t be bothered to wash your hair but still need to look polished. I have tried all of the viral slick back hair sticks but nothing beats this one. It give a nice shine without making your hair oily, does not create any weird residue, and most importantly LASTS all day. It is very small and easy to stick in your bag for any touchups throughout the day. It also works to tame any frizz at the top of your head when wearing your hair down. One of my top recs from this list!

Best Dry Shampoo for Oily Hair

This dry shampoo is a major game changer. It really removes oil from your hair and continues to work for days. I have super oily hair and before finding this dry shampoo it was impossible to wear my hair down without washing it for more than one day. If you can relate, you need this. As an oily haired girl, nothing is more unpolished than stringy, oily, flat hair.

Office Touch-Up Essentials

Oil Blotting Sheets

If you have oily skin you know there is pretty much no product out there that can keep your skin oil free for an entire day. Also, there is something about the office air that makes my skin even more oily. Therefore, you will need to touchup if you don’t want to look super shiny. I have tried powders, but sometimes they can make you look cakey, and the little powder puffs get gross pretty fast. I find oil blotting sheets are the way to go. These are cheap and do not disturb your makeup.

Refreshing Mist

If you have dry skin, or accidentally caked the powder a little too heavy, a good refreshing mist is just what you need to remelt your makeup. I love this spray, it also kills bacteria on your skin to help prevent breakouts.

Desk Mirror

I never thought I would love this little phone stand mirror as much as I do. I keep it right in front of me, and use it discreetly reapply lip liner, or check my teeth after lunch.
